Los conos de tráfico de plástico se utilizan para el desvío temporal del tráfico de vehículos, especialmente en caso de haber obras en la carretera en proceso o accidentes de coche. El color rojo brillante combinado con superficies reflectantes especiales los hace visibles a distancia de día o de noche. Para atender a las distintas condiciones de tráfico, están disponibles en muchos tamaños diferentes y, en cualquier caso, disponen de una base pesada de goma que aumenta la estabilidad.
El plástico especial del que están fabricados les permite recuperar su forma original tras sufrir impactos de muy baja intensidad con los vehículos que pasan a su lado, además de darles una larga vida útil y resistencia bajo condiciones medioambientales extremas.
 Los conos de plástico se transportan fácilmente sin ocupar un gran volumen porque son apilables sin quedarse atascados.
 Los conos de tráfico también se llaman pilones de tráfico, conos de carretera, conos de autopista, conos de seguridad, conos para obras o (coloquialmente) “sombreros de brujas” y, en inglés, safety wizards (magos de la seguridad).

    Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
